About
I provide high-end retouching and compositing for advertising, editorial, and commercial photography. My role sits at the point where images need to stop looking like files and start looking like final artwork. That usually means cleaning, rebuilding, correcting, and finishing images so they hold up under agency scrutiny, tight deadlines, and large-format delivery.
I work remotely with photographers, studios, and agencies, fitting into established production workflows rather than trying to reinvent them.

What I do
My work typically includes:
• High-end retouching for advertising and editorial
• Complex compositing and image reconstruction
• Production cleanup (backgrounds, edges, reflections, inconsistencies)
• Colour correction and tonal balancing across image sets
• Finishing images so they remain believable at full resolution

I’m often brought in when:
• lighting or capture wasn’t ideal
• elements need to be combined invisibly
• images are close, but not quite there
• a campaign needs to be finished properly, not “good enough”

How I work
I’m comfortable working within agency and studio pipelines, including:
• Clear briefs and references
• First-pass proofs followed by structured feedback rounds
• Layered, well-organised PSD delivery
• Consistent naming, versioning, and handover

I aim to be predictable, reliable, and easy to work with. No surprises at delivery. No unnecessary back-and-forth.

Experience
I’ve worked professionally as a retoucher for over 20 years, collaborating with photographers, studios, and advertising agencies in Australia and overseas. That experience matters less for the number itself and more for understanding:
• how images are judged internally at agencies
• where jobs usually go wrong late in production
• what needs to be solved quietly and efficiently

What I don’t do
• Over-processed or stylised “look at the retouching” finishes
• Heavy-handed AI artefacts or automated shortcuts
• Rushed work without proper approval stages
The goal is invisible problem-solving, not attention-seeking effects.

Availability
I take on both short-turnaround fixes and longer campaign work, depending on schedule.
